Obituary for H. Lee Weathersbee

H. Lee Weathersbee, 72, of Windsor died September 25, 2021 at UPMC Harrisburg. He was the husband of Kelly (Conway) Weathersbee. Lee and Kelly were together for 26 years and married for 8 years.

Born August 25, 1949 in York, he was the son of the late Henry Virgil Weathersbee and Beulah (Chrisenberry) Weathersbee Joines.

Lee worked for many years at David Edward Furniture.

Lee was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving during the Vietnam War. He was a machine gunner and received a Purple Heart.

Lee was a 1968 graduate of York Suburban High School. He was a member of the Red Lion VFW Post 1446 and the American Legion Dallastown Post 605. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, participating in track and field and watching all Philadelphia sports and NASCAR. Lee loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Kelly, he is survived by his son, Michael Weathersbee; step-daughter, Ashley Rollman; step-son, John Rollman, IV; 2 grandchildren, Kenton Smith and Whitley Shorts; and 3 sisters, Beverly Weathersbee, Marsha Moreschi, and Joyce Flinchbaugh. Henry was also survived by his furry friends, dogs Buddy and Ox. He was preceded in death by a son, Marc Weathersbee; a brother, Joseph Weathersbee; and 2 sisters, Karen Weathersbee and Jackie Carruthers.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 700 Hellam Street, Wrightsville. Viewings will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with graveside military rites conducted by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
