Chicken BBQ

Season Finale-Chicken BBQ dinner on Saturday, September 21st. Dinners are $10 in advance and $11 the day of the BBQ. The dinner includes a chicken half, baked potato and applesauce. Leave the cooking to us; get your tickets in advance!

Community Breakfast

Join us for a Community All You Can Eat Breakfast Buffet on Sunday, September 29th from 7-10AM. Cost is $8 for Adults and $3 for children ages 4-9; children 3 and under are FREE. Food selections include eggs, pancakes, sausage, potatoes, sausage gravy, biscuits and more...This month's menu includes smoked sausage made fresh that morning. This event is Open to the Public so bring a friend~

Fill your dance card-Stone Country will be playing at the Post on Saturday, October 26th. Tickets will be available in October for our annual Halloween Dance. There is NO reserved seating so plan to come early and dance the night away....

Pit Beef BBQ

Big Ray's Pit Beef BBQ stand will be set up monthly in the Post overflow parking lot. Stop by on Saturday, September 7th, BBQ will be served from 11am until sold out. Proceeds benefit our local Post and Wounded Warriors...

Military Food Share

A military food share is now available locally at the Church of the Open Door on East Market St, York. Distribution is the 4th Tuesday of every month. Proof of military service is required, such as a Military ID or VA Medical Card. Volunteers are welcomed also~ Serving those who have served for us!

Supporting Veterans, their Families, and our Community.
VFW Post 1446 is a Smoke-Free Facility.
 
 
As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

Operating Hours
The Post will resume normal operating hours this Sunday, September 8th. The kitchen will also be open and all menu items will be available.
 
Patriotic Apparel
Military and Patriotic hats are now on sale at the Post.
Hats are available in both summer and winter styles.
The cost is $10.

A satirical reflection by Author/Artist Phil Fehrenbacher

Phil enlisted in the Army in 1965 where you served for years in Vietnam.  He became a graphic designer and has worked for the state of Oregon for 26 years.  He retired in 2003 and started the Cartoon "In-Country".  The cartoons reflect his experiences during his tour of duty in South Vietnam.


There is a new cartoon everyday.
